A Bit About Me
I’m a Lead Software Engineer working at Panorama Education and living in Madison WI with my wife, son, and our dog Kirby. My journey into software engineering was sparked by a childhood love for video games and a fascination with the interaction between people and technology. This led me to major in Software Engineering and double-minor in Psychology and Game Design in college, with a focus on Usability.
I’ve led several successful, large scale, cross-team projects over my career and contributed to many more. At Epic Systems I led an overhaul to their vaccine inventory management system and was able to release it for use during the initial COVID vaccine rollouts in the United States. I also led a massive multi-year rewrite to a system used to document outpatient medication administrations. At Panorama Education, I helped lead the planning and development of next-gen reporting tools for school administrators.
I'm a user-centered, full-stack engineer passionate about solving complex problems and fostering cross-team collaboration. I'm guided by honesty and a desire to leave everything better than I found it, and I'm inspired by those who lead change through positive influence rather than control.
Outside of work, I love baking, gardening, woodworking, and making dice. I'm a big fan of games, music, movies, and travel. Most of all, I love spending time with my family and enjoying the many amazing things that Madison has to offer!
